How Do You Sit in a Recliner After Shoulder Surgery?

How do you sit in a recliner after shoulder surgery? I’m kind of anti-recliner in our practice. I don’t think it helps. I don’t think it’s necessary.

It’s something that’s kind of dogged. It’s been passed down through the generations that just doesn’t make a difference and makes people miserable. It’s something that people focus on before surgery, which we’re happy to tell them for many of our patients.

There’s a huge relief in which only you don’t have to sleep in a recliner. Don’t worry about that. You can sleep in your bed. We’ll show you exactly how to do that. I’ll tell you, we just have people put some pillows behind the back and remove the sling.

We don’t make people wear slings after surgery. They put some pillows underneath their arm. That’s the most comfortable position. So on our website, there are plenty of videos to talk about sleep at night and how to do it in the most comfortable way possible.

Don’t let shoulder pain persist. See Dr. Kevin Kruse for expert surgical treatment.
