A common question is, what is the success rate of shoulder replacement surgery?
This is a great question because we track this. Roughly 95 to 96% of our patients are happy with their shoulder. And very happy means they’re radically better than before surgery from a pain, motion, and overall quality of life standpoint.
So shoulder replacement is a wonderful operation. If it’s done correctly, by a specialist for the right indications, the vast majority of over 95%of the patients we do these on are extremely happy with their shoulder.
It’s one of my favorite procedures I perform on the shoulder because you’re taking someone in such a bad spot in their life because of their shoulder. Taking away that pain and then giving them back a big part of their life that they didn’t have before that the shoulder was stopping them from being able to do—something as simple as sleeping during the night.
So the success rate is extremely high as high as any procedure in orthopedics.
